Getting Started

How do I receive an airline's tender?

The airline invites your company by email. You see only the tenders you are invited to, from every airline, in one list.

How do I create an account?

From the airline's invitation email, or create a free supplier account at any time. A company email address is needed.

What does it cost?

Nothing. Jet Fuel Tenders is free for fuel suppliers, with no per-seat or per-bid fees.

Bidding

What is the difference between a sealed and a real-time tender?

In a sealed tender, the airline sees your prices only when the round closes. In a real-time tender, the airline sees each bid as soon as you submit it. Every tender shows its type before you accept it.

Can I bid on the web or in Excel?

Both. Enter your bids online, location by location, or send all locations in one Excel file. Every file is checked before it is used, and nothing is submitted until you choose to submit.

Can I reuse my terms?

Yes. Save your payment and invoicing terms once and reuse them on later tenders. You can still adjust them for each tender.

Can I change a bid after I submit it?

Yes, until the round closes. In a sealed tender, the airline sees your latest version when the round closes; in a real-time tender, it sees the change at once.

What happens in a next round?

The airline may invite you to a next round, with feedback on your bid. You then send new prices before the new deadline. A reminder reaches you a day before a round closes if you still have bids to submit.

Confidentiality

Can other suppliers see my prices?

No. Each supplier sees only its own prices. Other suppliers' prices, ranks and comparisons are never shown, in sealed and real-time tenders alike, before and after the award.

Can an airline show my prices to another supplier?

Not through Jet Fuel Tenders. Airlines have no way to show one supplier's prices to another, and an airline that has not invited you never sees your bids.

Awards and Contracts

How do I know whether I have been awarded?

You see the outcome of each of your bids, awarded, partly awarded or not awarded, with the awarded volume and period.

How do I sign an award?

You review and sign awards online. If something is not right, you can ask the airline for changes or decline the award.

Where do I find my contracts?

In one list of every award your company has signed, from every airline, which you can export to Excel.

Account and Security

How does sign-in work?

Every sign-in has two steps: your password and a one-time code, by email or from an authenticator app. You can choose to be remembered on a trusted device.

How do I add colleagues?

Invite colleagues by email and choose what each person may do. You can add a colleague to your whole company or to a single tender.

What can each role do?

Contributors bid and sign awards. Managers can also manage the team. Viewers can read but not change anything. A Company Admin looks after the company profile and security. Each person sees only the tenders they are invited or added to.

Support

How do I ask the airline a question about a tender?

Send the airline a message on the tender. You are notified when it answers.

Where can I get help?

Short video tutorials are inside the app after sign-in, starting with How to Bid on a Tender. For anything else, write to [email protected] or use the Contact page.
